Hi,
I am facing a problem with "filtered select list". To demonstrate it I prepared simple component to manage vehicles.
Logic: We have
1. vehicle types - moto, car, truck
2. manufacturers - each defined by name and type, e.g.
Aprilia - moto
KTM - moto
Audi - car
BMW - car
3. finally items - each item = car defined by name, type, manufacturer
And here comes problem in form view.
If "my first car" item is type of "car" I would like to have select box with manufacturers limited to (Audi, BMW).
It should be possible using J_SQL_EXTENDED, (docs.joomla.org/SQL_form_field_type) and sql_filter parameter.
Well, I think I configured it correctly, but it does not work. The list still contains both motos and cars.
Could somebody help?
