Hi,

I am new to CC. I would like to know it is possible to create a field with Unique value.

I love the "Make field required" option. Is there a way for "Make field unique'.

Hi Dennis,

Unfortunately we don't have that option when adding a table field on Component Creator. You'll have to use a DB manager, as phpMyAdmin or similar, to add any key or index to a table.

Hi,

Thanks for your confirmation. I managed to used the phpMyAdmin to change the field to unique key which avoid user to save the similar data twice.

However, shall above scenario happen, Component Creator is showing the SQL error message. Anyway I can change this error message to more user friendly message, such as "this data is in used."
