OSCampus - the New Joomla LMS

OSCampus is the new Learning Management System (LMS) for Joomla. It is very robust and widely used at OSTraining, where it’s already used by 1,000's of people every week.

OSCampus is organized in a very simple way: Classes contain Lessons. Everything is a secondary feature which can be configured or can also be omitted.

Secondary features of the Classes are: Teacher, Class image, Pathways (similar to the Joomla categories), Tags (similar to the core Joomla tags), Length (overall length of the whole class) and Difficulty (currently Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced)

Joomla 3.5 is Coming!

Joomla 3.5 is Coming!

On 27th January 2016 Joomla announced the release of Joomla 3.5 beta. Like any beta version this release is for testing purposes and should not be used on production servers. There will be no upgrade from this beta version to the final stable release. If you want to help out the Joomla community by testing this new version, or are just curious to find out what it's like, it would be best to run a clean installation on a test server or create a copy of your existing setup and install the beta there.

Immediate update to Joomla 3.4.5 necessary

If you haven't updated your Joomla 3 to the last security patch 3.4.5 your site is at big risk due to an SQL injection vulnerability that allows the exploiter to acquire full administrative access to your Joomla website.

The 15th of October, the Joomla Production Leadership (PLT) team was notified of the security issue by the internet security company SpiderLabs. The PLT started to work immediately on a fix and on the 16th announced a security patch by PLT member Jessica Dunbar
