maybe make this an option but I find myself wanting to keep the data in the tables obviously.

I agree there are times when you want to uninstall but don't want the tables to be deleted.
Would be nice to not have to do a custom modification to get that functionality.
I think it would be nice to have an "upgrade tables on install" option too for when the tables change but that data needs to stay.
