How can I use CC to create public forms

How can I use CC to create public forms was created by Eduardo Mena
I would like to create public forms that store information in my database.
Component Creator is perfect for the db design and handling data. But, is there any way that I can use Component Creator to create public forms so that non-registered users can submit a message? It would be perfect to create custom contact forms and service requests.

Thanks!

Hello,

I am also in this situation. I registered to create a custom component and I found out later that I get an error 404 when the form in the front-end is public.

Is there a fix?

Thank you,
Have a great day!

Hello Eduardo and Sebastien

This has a quick solution: you just need to go to your Component's ACL configuration (in Joomla Admin) and change guests' permissions.

Best regards,

Andrés.

Hi Andres

I just can't get this to work.
From the admin panel, ccreator works perfectly. But when I add a component form to a menu item, I just get 500 or 403 errors.
I've played a lot with the global configuration > component permissions. I also added a ACL parameter to the component. But none of this works.
Can I create a form that can be published on the front end so that any user with or without a session (public or guest) can fill it and store that data in the database?

I finally got it to work. In fact, it was very simple.

Hi Eduardo

I guess you've found your component's ACL configuration.  If anybody else has that issue it's in Joomla Administrator side: Top menu Components - Your Component - Options - permissions.
